Paula LaRochelle is a writer and editor living and working around southeast Minnesota and the Driftless region.

Formerly the deputy editor at Alpinist, she holds a master’s degree in creative writing from the University of Wyoming and a PhD in English literature from the University of Oregon. Her writing has appeared in Alpinist, Mountain Gazette, Misadventures and the American Alpine Journal, among others. She was on the jury for the Banff Mountain Book Competition in 2018.
